"Cities and local authorities need more support in data management, monitoring and planning to choose the right approaches for an urban nature-based solution that considers both climate mitigation and adaptation". This is a key recommendation from the policy brief "Urban climate action", co-authored by GERICS scientist María Máñez Costa. The policy briefs are a series of short reports on the UN Habitat report for the Nationally Determined Contributions (NDCs) with the aim of representing the role of nature-based solutions (NBS) in reporting on the NDCs.
